Help For A Newbie PLEASE

Postby The Lillywhites » Sat May 05, 2007 1:14 pm

Hi everyone

Hope you might be able to help me with an excel problem.

I downloaded the trial version of the software yesterday but can't get excel to work.

The workbook shows the basic race date including updating times etc BUT it will not list the horses or display their prices.

Any suggestions (in simple terms please...LOL) gratefully accepted

I'm using windows XP and office 97

Thanks

I don't think it works with Excel 97.

Hi mantas

as I said, I'm using windows xp already it is only excel that is old.

Hi Ian

I was hoping not to have to buy a new edition of excel. What is confusing it you are right, is that it half works !!!!

By this I mean that all the headings come up on excel, the column headings are there, and even the countdown clock works, it then lists the name of the first horse, but nothing more. The rest of the horses are missing and there are no prices at all.

So it is half working.

Any more suggestions guys to save me spending a hundred+ notes on a new version.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
