Excel logging: Listing data as it updates possible?

Postby Bomber » Wed Jun 20, 2007 4:33 am

Hey guys, I have just started using the BA and I am particularly interested in the excel logging function.

I have been trying to figure out how to list the data as it updates into a fresh sheet but using the Excel commands alone I have hit a wall.

I have had a read of these forums and was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to supply the VB code and explain how I would get a list going that posted the data into sheet 2 for say 1 horse?

Then I would be able to run formulas and graphs etc on that data more easily and have a better record of what had happened during the time monitored.

A million thanks for any help.

Regards, Dave

P.S. To make sure I am clear here... I am looking for the logged data from BA into Excel Sheet 1 to be then listed into sheet 2 with each update of info going into a new row. So I would have something like:

Time: Back price:
14:02:01 2.98
14:02:02 2.96
14:02:03 2.98

etc... and as the data is updated the list grows longer...

You can do this via the non-Api version - log individual price.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
