Postby darren » Fri Oct 19, 2007 12:28 pm

Hi All

I posted a new BA video on You Tube yesterday and thought I should post the link on here. Its in two parts and is a beginners guide to using the spreadsheet function to auto bet.

Thanks Darren. I know they'll be of interest to my listeners so I've popped them in to my blog also with credits duly noted.

I find it a bit of a challenge setting up a regular schedule. The rule of thumb is to check in about 10 minutes after the first race and if I'm live you don't need to do anything - the show will stream immediately. If I'm not live but I will be then I my most recent post will show the approximate time of that day's broadcast.

Yesterday, the show had over a 100 live listeners when John, author of blog The Gambler, was our featured guest and the archived broadcast of that show is available from the player in the top right of my blog. Yesterday's broadcast has also been listened to an additional 92 times since it went out live. Thanks for your kind words. Good luck Knot, as always.

Old blog?

Postby WhyLose » Thu Nov 27, 2008 12:12 am

You may be looking at the old blog Darren. Anyway, every week on a Wednesday usually at 1.00pm UK time. Today went out live at 11.00 am because Leon is a trader but you can hear them all at any time in my signature.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
