Two Sessions at once

Postby lutpoy28 » Thu Oct 25, 2007 7:42 pm

Hi

Are there any issues with running two sessions on the same pc at once ? Should you be able to, if so any known issues?

Ive got two session open at the moment looking at different excel sheets, 1 for US and 1 for UK as scalp for different openings.

Could I have more sessions running concurrently if I wished ?

I just use multiple tabs in one session.

Ian

Can you link different tabs to different Excel sheets so that different betting triggers could be executed?

For example, put all UK Horse Racing on 1 tab (all in the quick pick list for that tab) and put all Greyhound races on another tab (all in the quick pick list for that tab) - or is the quick pick list shared between tabs?

Quick picks are not shared between tabs and each tab can log to different workbooks (or the same one for that matter).

What you can't do, is log the same tab to multiple sheets - this would be a great enhancement btw :)

What if you set the same market up on 2 tabs, with each logging to a separate worksheet? - are there any issues with this?

if you just want the data in two sheets, then a macro to detect worksheet change and copy data to another sheet should be fine. But if you want to place bets from 2 sheets, I think you would need to do it from 2 tabs.

Yes, that's what I do, Pete. Same market in two tabs but to different sheets.

Ignore that last question, I see what you mean now. Didnt realise you could have multiple tabs in BA itself.

Answers all my questions.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
