Auto selecting markets

To auto select markets, you need to add the markets to the quick pick list.

To add markets to the quick pick list, you have to select the market which places it in the active tab.

I only want to start monitoring x minutes before the first event in my quick pick list, but the last event I added to the list is currently active in the tab.

How do I clear the tab, so that no bandwidth is used until my first market is autoselected?
