Problem with bet recording

Postby Shaun » Fri Jun 20, 2008 3:11 pm

I use BA with an excel sheet and am having this problem, i am betting win and place so i have two markets open, on my sheet i have a sheet called BAWIN and a sheet BAPLACE i also have sheets BETS , MyBets, Results.

The sheet BETS controls all the functions and displays prices from the other two sheets, when i place a bet i will only get one of them recorded in results and the MyBets sheets just freakes out with changing prices, i think this has been mentioned before but i can't find the fix for it.

BA automaticly updates yesterday when i logged on so i think i have latest version.

You need 2 MyBets sheets because you are displaying 2 markets. Name them BAWIN_MyBets and BAPLACE_MyBets. At the moment the bets from the 2 markets are overwriting each other.

Yes, you also need 2 sheets for results, but you have to select them using the drop down list when setting up the link. The naming convention used for MyBets is not yet supported. I know it's a bit weird that it's not consistent, but it will be changed in a future release.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
