Hi,

When you open BA you can have the quick pick list pre-populated with markets as listed in the dropdown menu in preferences.
Only 1 tab page will be opened.

There is an additional option that allows you to have different venues (i.e. different racecourses) loaded into separate quick pick lists meaning that multiple tab pages will be opened.

There is no option to specify number of tab pages that should be opened at start up.

Regards,
Mark

Thanks for the reply Mark. I have found an autoclick program that does exactly what i require so hopefully i now have an extra ten minutes free each morning and this eliminates the risk of clicking on a wrong excel link or forgetting to click 1min before the off etc. Does using a autoclick program allow a security risk with the password/username ?

If you program this 'autoclick' program to automatically login then in theory if someone gains access to your PC then they could gain access to your account. It's up to you whether you accept this risk.

Hi Gary
Surely if somebody gains access to your PC after you have logged on they have access to your account anyway, I can't see that the risk is increased much using an autoclick program. Am I missing something?
This is an area that quite concerns me :(

I'm talking about when you haven't logged on, they couldn't normally gain access because they dont' know your password as it's not stored anywhere. The autoclick program must store the password somewhere so that it can enter it into BA. If they found the file where the user id and password is stored then they could gain access. It's not something that would concern me as I'm sure nobody can access my PC.

If you are not using the autoclick program to automatically login to BA then the autoclick program is not adding any security risk.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
