Little help with a triggered betting script..

Postby jjumpm2 » Sat Aug 05, 2006 9:52 am

Hi,

I was looking into trigger betting and was using the market feeder pro software. With that software you could do many different triggers in the same race, for example, placing a back bet, then laying it a couple of ticks under or if it went over then placing a stop-loss. Just basic trading.. Can this been done with betting assistant?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

"BACK-T2-SL5" Would submit a back bet and once matched a lay bet at 2 ticks lower would be submitted. A stop loss will be set at 5 ticks higher from the back odds and if the odds reach the stop loss odds the stop loss bet will be submitted and the tick offset lay bet will be cancelled. If the offset lay bet is matched then the stop loss will be cancelled.

There are lots of triggers in the manual, with examples.
Regards

Judging by the "1 post" and the link in his signature linking off to his own betting software the request for an update was not sincere (although your reply is very useful!). Reported the user.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
