XL sheet freezing when Pending IR

Hi,
Is there a way to get the XL sheet to update when a bet is Pending in IR horse race?
When i place a bet the sheet freezes for 1-2 s so i cant place bets on another horse under that time.
Is that normal?
I dont use VBA script or a macro, just IF formula.

It is the way it is designed. It waits for the bet reference to be returned from Betfair. There is a 1 second delay imposed by Betfair when the market is in play. If the stake is below minimum then it will take 3 seconds as there are 3 transactions required to place the bet.
