Help! can't login

Hi, I have just downloaded the software and am having trouble logging in

I recieve the error: the underlying connection was closed unable to connect to the remote server

I have checked my username and password, rebooted, uninstalled downloaded and installed again.
Removed my firewall with no sucess. Also I have no bf messages on site.

I have read elsewhere that bf are upgrading their software today (27/08) is this a related issue?

Any help is appreciated

That message usually appears when the program is specifically being blocked from accessing the Internet. Are you sure there is no Anti Virus/Anti Syware/Firewall software blocking the program?

I am only running the winxp firewall which I disabled, avg antivirus and adaware.

I'm really not sure what could be doing it

Anyone else got any ideas?

It can only be one of two things to my knowledge (firewall or proxy). Just tested it through a proxy and it works so I'm out of suggestions.

Got it thanks, My ie was set to run through a proxy, not sure who set that up!
