Betdaq trigger functionality

Postby winabit » Sun Feb 13, 2011 7:02 pm

Hi, i wonder if other people are have trouble getting their bets to place at betdaq. i've tried without success today to use LAY-IP through Betting Assistant for Betdaq, and then late-on thought i'd try the same sheet with BF and it worked perfectly.

i know the refresh times are very slow, but i've seen the active "LAY-IP" trigger on the xl sheet for a full 9 seconds just before the off on several races and yet nothing seems to happen at the Betdaq end.

The gruss codes are the same, aren't they?

Advice, anyone?

Think i'll be on the phone tomorrow to set up (hopefully, i don't know) a second account at bf.

The trigger should work the same on Betdaq, I've just tested it. Did a bet reference appear in column T of the spreadsheet?

Hi Gary, i've just had a go at today's first race through betdaq, and i've had "InvalidOdds" come up in column T....... the odds i'm using are various like 1.23, 1.34, 1.3, etc for different horses, and the stakes are all the same at 2.2 (ie. above the minimum).

I haven't placed a bet successfully yet at betdaq - maybe i've not ticked something in their smallprint. Meantime, i've opened a second account at bf, so maybe i'll just rearrange things through there.

Update at 2:50: Bets are now placing correctly, yet i've done nothing, merely left the sheet running with BA. Maybe BQ have warmed to the new account by now :? However, the liquidity i/r is a worry, i'd heard it was low, but seems to be 3 to 5 times smaller than BF.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
