Downloading Betfair P&L

Postby Chisp » Tue Jul 12, 2011 8:57 pm

Hi, hope someone can help me. Recently I updated Excel to Microsoft 2010, but since the upgrade am I unable to download the Betfair P&L.

I get an error message stating there is unreadable content. It then gives me the option to try and recover the data - Yes or No - I click yes but nothing happens.

Any ideas how I can overcome this issue?

Thanks in advance.

the only soloution i have found on this is to install open office (is free) and first open the pl figures with it.If you save it as excel, you can open it with every excel version. Not very handy but it works

I notified Betfair about a year ago, and again a few months ago. They got back to me to clarify the problem but still haven't gotten around to fix it.

Mak's suggestion works. Also, if you have access to a 32-bit machine download with that and then re-save.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
