Profit Column

Postby hmk » Sun Aug 28, 2011 4:02 am

The figures in the profit column are different (by $140) to my actual true profit - as per the betfair website - for my bets on the NRL premiers market.
Any ideas why?

Is this column not a true reflection of actual profits?

Yes it is supposed to be a true reflection. Do you have already settled bets on this market? BA does not include settled bets. On the website select "More options" and check if you have "Include settled bets" ticked. This could be the difference.

I am referring to more options on the Betfair website, not in Betting Assistant. The fact you are on free trial is not relevant. There are no options missing in Betting Assistant during free trial.

View the market on Betfair's website. There is a more options link at the top right of the prices grid. There is an option to include settled bets in P&L. This option is not available in Betting Assistant.

ok, That option is clicked.
BA is adding $144 to each selection compared to the website.
It is not happening on any other market I'm betting on.
Maybe it will work itself out.

What happens when you untick this option on the website? Does it then show the same as BA? This is what I am trying to establish.

My apologies. That was a blonde moment.
That did the trick. Thanks.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
