LAY-BACK BACK-LAY combination

Postby Grisu » Mon Sep 05, 2011 10:08 pm

hi,
maybe someone can help?
i'd like to place a
LAY on selection A.
when the selecion is matched i want to
BACK selection B.
after selection B is matched i need a
BACK on selection A
and finally if matched i want to
LAY selection B.
all bets should be same size.
the difficult part for me seems to recognize when a bet is matched and how much is matched after the first LAY-BACK combination. how can i set the average matched odds and the matched stake column to 0 value after a bet is matched?

Have you tried using a MyBets worksheet within your workbook as that'll show bet status of any bets placed, matched/unmatched amounts for each runner.

Use the CLEAR trigger to remove those values, the amount matched will show in column W, Matched stake, so you can compare that to your stake if it's a set figure to see how much has been matched. The Bet ref column will have a suffix P if the bet has only been part matched so you have quite a few options to monitor if all or part has been matched.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
