Going in play??

Postby ians1711 » Tue Nov 22, 2011 2:55 pm

On the Excel spreadsheet cell H3 contains "Turn IP" and cell I3 contains Y or N - I presume these two go together???

Tried displaying a couple of soccer matches today which were listed in the Tuesday In Play coupon, but both came up with N in cell I3?? They were

Iraq v Australia
Bahrain v Japan

Yes they do go together and I don't get the same results as you. Both markets display Y. What are the market ids in cell N3 on your PC?

Same here. This is very strange. Can you list the exact steps you take to open the market from opening the application? There are different ways of arriving at the market and you may have found a glitch. For example I navigated to the market using the market tree and found the market under soccer fixtures 22 November.

Using the COM interface I scan all the tree early in the morning and take note of the market IDs that I will want to look at later. Then 30 minutes before kick off time I check the IP flag and if it is Y then I look at some other soccer markets. If N then I go to next match. Noticed these two earlier - other matches since have had the flag set correctly. And those two matches showed Y after each match had started - so it was only in the minutes before the match started that the flag was N.

Gary
Another discrepancy today. Match odds for Bastia v Tours - on the Excel spreadsheet it says Turn IP - Y. But on the i button on the BA screen it shows that the market will not turn in play. Market ID is 104522711

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
