INVALID SIZE

Postby alrodopial » Fri Feb 10, 2012 8:36 pm

Two of my bets were rejected with the above reason
I copy paste from excel:

BACKSP 1,01 0,04 INVALID_SIZE 19:19:51

BACKSP 1,01 8,77 INVALID_SIZE 19:19:51
BACKSP 1,01 9,59 INVALID_SIZE 19:19:51

The first one , ok I understand it but the others?

There are money in the account and the race started at 20:22:00
How can I find what went wrong?

If you want to back 'normally' the minimum stake is 2.
If you want to back at SP the minimum stake is 10.

I don't think so. If you LAYSP your liability must be above 10e but when you BACKSP the min stake is the usual 2e
from my history:
Code: Select all
IRE / Thurl 9th Feb / 15:40 To Be Placed   Paddy The Oscar   Back   18247502573   09-Feb-12
15:39   SP   C    5.71   4.58    4.58   5.71   (4.58)

the stake is the 4.58

It must be the same problem you had previously using LAYSP. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6897

Try placing the same bet manually on Betfair's website to see if it is rejected. This will confirm whether they will accept the stake or not. As far as I can see it isn't being caused by BA.

Manually BF accepts back bet at sp greater than 2e.

I'll see today what the algo/BA/BF will do but the previus days has placed many times back bets at sp below 10e.

Yesterday I run it for a while and then I stoped it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
