Stop At A Winner

I'm sure this is a very simple question with a very simple answer but is this possible through Gruss?

Only if you code it yourself by excel and even then you're at the mercy of how quickly Betfair settle markets.

So it's possible just not a default feature.

Thanks for the confirmation. Is there a link somewhere that would show us the step by step guide in doing this?

Don't think there are any examples on the forum try a search it might bring something up. You've access to your balance in excel, logging bets and even logging results so it's really just a case of finding what works for you even if it's just something as simple as stopping betting once the balance is higher than you starting balance if you use some recovery type staking method.

Personally I've never seen the attraction or sense in stopping betting once you hit a winner especially as a bot can't run continuously and if your method has a sound winning basis the more bets you do the better

Totally agree with the Captain. Same goes for creating an artificial win limits per day. If you have an edge, the more you turnover the better. Seems to me systems like this probably never have an edge and therfore you're likely doing a wise thing. But not as wise as never running the system in the first place.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
