Dutching: BA only places some bets

Postby SebTrader » Mon Feb 25, 2013 3:38 pm

Hi,

I use the BA software for dutching results in soccer. An often it only places some of my dutching options, this creates great confusion for me because i have to find the ones missing and add them myself. Why is the software not placing all my bets? And if they are not placed, why does the just stand in the "unmatched bets" side with odds 1.01 or 1000 instead of the odds i asked to get?

Hope you guys can help, i really want to buy this software, but not if it does not work properly everytime :-)

Regards Sebastian

If you are left with odds 1000 then it's possible that you are placing below minimum stake bets with an insufficient account balance to cover them. This is a common problem.

Since Betfair do not officially support below minimum stake bets Betting Assistant has to "cheat" to place the bets. For example to place 3 x £0.50 bets you need more than £1.50 in your account to cover the bets. You actually need £7.50. If your balance is £6 in this example then 3 bets will be placed for £2 at 1000, but when it tries to update the stakes to £2.50 it will fail.

That sounds quite right. In my country (Denmark) my minimum bet is 30DKK, so how do I know how much money I need in my account for placing the dutch-bets?

If I have 6 selections:

selection A stake: 15DKK
selection B stake: 35DKK
selection C stake: 51DKK
selection D stake: 11DKK
selection E stake: 21DKK
selection F stake: 10DKK

Then it would say that my liability is: 143DKK But i need more than 143DKK in my account to actually place all the bets? If so how much?

Thanks for your time and I love the BA besides from this problem :)

selection A stake: 15DKK = 45DKK
selection B stake: 35DKK = 35DKK
selection C stake: 51DKK = 51DKK
selection D stake: 11DKK = 41DKK
selection E stake: 21DKK = 51DKK
selection F stake: 10DKK = 40DKK

You need 263DKK, but once it has finished placing the bets it will only be 143DKK. It's just 263DKK momentarily.

Okay, so quite simply if the bet is <30: bet+min. stake. If bet is >30 then bet+0. I hope this will fix the problem, I will try it later and return if this did not fix the problem. Thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
