RACE RATING IN SINGLE CELL

I have a "Race Selection" sheet which is a list of BA sheet1,cell A1.
I then manually "rate" each race with a single number in column "B" on the "Race Selection" sheet. When a race autoloads I want the corresponding rating to go into a single cell on the trigger sheet. How can I achieve this?
I was thinking I could use VLOOKUP but I can't figure how.

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!F10:G15,2,FALSE)

where in column F are the race info and in column G their ratings
