how do i get the betting assistant to lock in a profit when i bet in-running on the horses? also how do i decide how much profit i can aim for? basically i want the program to lay my bet back once the desired profit has been reached thats if it gets reached.without me having to do anything once i have placed my bet.

I've not used it so you'd have to get someone elses advice on it, but I'm sure the tick offset built into BA would do that for you. I don't think it will lock in a preset profit, but you can decide how many ticks you want as profit.
Basically you set the counter to how many ticks you think you want, or can get away with then when the original bet has been matched and offset however many ticks away will be automatically placed. I could be wrong but I'd guess it is to the same stake so it would only secure a profit if that selection ended up winning. To secure a profit on every runner if the offset bet is matched you'r either have to use the green-up button yourself atfer the trade has been made, or use Excel to do it for you.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
