Q2 Moving Market Excel

Postby siony1974 » Wed Jul 13, 2016 7:54 pm

I'm not sure if I'm missing a setting or something somewhere.

I have BA linked to an Excel sheet. The quick pick list is not set to move forward using the 'Auto Select Markets' option.
In Excel when i put -1 in cell Q2 and press enter nothing happens. It just sits there in the cell. The market doesn't move to the next race in the list.
I don't remember Q2 needing any code to force the update.

Any ideas what I've forgotten to click/tick ?

The -1 should get picked up on the next refresh not when you press enter. Are you logging the market tocell A1? Enable Triggered Betting ticked ?

Hi Captain,

It's been a while since I've used the Q2 triggers and spotted my mistake this morning. I hadn't enabled triggered betting.
I was testing out a new sheet and didn't want it triggering anything at that point.
I'd set up the -1,-2 triggers as buttons on the sheet with very basic macros attached to them to move the market back and forth.
I was just a little baffled why they weren't working. Enabled triggered betting and they all work fine.
Many thanks for the swift reply, it's much appreciated.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
