Thanks

The problem you describe has happened to me occasionally in fast changing markets. What you need to do is increase the refresh rate so the prices stay on the screen longer.

Hi LayitYouMug,

I've been using your excellent program for some time.
I have spotted a few problems that it would be great if you could fix.

1) If you have 2 or more markets in the quick pick. If I choose to untick the verify bets with one of the 2 markets and then go to the other market, it retains the untick. It would be great if settings were kept separate for each quick pick market. Also it would be good if the amount in the B Stk/L stk column is kept separate for each quick pick.
2)Can you make the program remember the chosen quick pick markets when closing the program so they are still there when restarting the program.
3)Regarding the log of matched and unmatched bets at the bottom.
When clicking the header of the Date/Time column can you change it so that the bets are in strict chronological order with the latest at the top. At the moment it puts the latest date at the top but it puts them downwards in time order.

Regarding my point 3)

It goes wrong only if you have bets spread over more than one day.

Since Betfair have changed the security of passwords, some of my applications have stopped being able to access my betfair account..including this excellent application (cheers mate to the developer).
Anyone else having this problem and know of a fix.
Betfair Trader just won't accept my password, and other applications ay my password and username are incorrect - although I still can connect to my betfair account using them....
Anyone know what is going on??

Need to pay an "expert" to modify this great program to my needs and to write a trigger. I am still trying to hire LayItYouMug but I suspect his darn day job is taking up too much of his time! He did say though that his program already comes very very close to achieving exactly what I want. The problem is that I need 1 additional trigger variable - which comes from another constantly updating excel sheet. I put LIYM's excel version on my excel sheet but both his program and my excel updating macro will not update at the same time. That is problem #1. The second job would be to write a trigger. (By the way, are there any instructions on writing such triggers anywhere?) If anyone knows someone familiar with this program and triggers, as well as being an excel expert, I would really appreciate contact info. Thanks in advance!

Version 0.98j is released. CANCEL trigger added to Excel triggered betting. Also the CLEAR trigger amended to also set average odds matched to zero.

CANCEL will cancel the reference in the bet ref column only, not all open bets for the selection.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
