The first thing the launcher program tries to do is access the following link. Can you access it using Internet Explorer?

horselover777. I'm wondering whether the problem is your .NET framework. When you originally installed the program did you have to install the .NET framework or did you already have it? Can you try re-installing the framework from this link: <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en</a>

horselover777. Probably not. Just wanted to rule it out. Do you have a firewall installed? Can you check if the programs BetfairTraderLauncher.exe and Betfair Trading.exe in the folder c:\program files\Betfair Trader have permission to access the Internet?

Very nice tool. Thanks Gary. My earlier problem was caused by trying to wager £2 with the account currency set for $. $2 is below the minimum amount allowed by bfair.

<b>************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.</b>

In my estimation, he's a programmer and a half!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
