Total Performance Data Integration

If you have a TPD Zone subscription then you can use this data in Betting Assistant

To enable TPD select options|preferences from the menu and select the TPD tab. Here you can enter your access key.

If you have entered your access key and are displaying a supported market there will be a TPD button above the prices grid.
Left click the button to connect to the data feed. If the connection is successful the button will turn green. Left click when the button is green to disconnect from the data feed.
When the button is green you can right click it to display a satellite image of the course with the horses plotted on it.
Move the mouse over a horse to display the name and odds under the map. It will automatically refresh the odds from the prices grid.
You can assign a custom column to be actioned to the buttons displaying the odds so that they will act as if the custom column next to the currently selected horse was clicked on the grid.

The TPD indicators on the grid are as follows:-

Arrows pointing right indicate they are running faster than the leader and the length indicates how much faster. Orange means they are further back than 2 metres and red means they are within 2 metres.

Green arrows pointing left means they are running slower than the leader and the length indicates how much slower.

The number next to the arrows are horse's speed in MPH.

The numbers in the blue boxes are the metres back from the leader and metres in front for the leader.

The vertical lines are furlong indicators and the dark grey background indicators current progress towards the finish line.

You can display the TPD metrics by adding a custom column and selecting which TPD value to display on that column instead of the odds.

The metrics can also be exported to Excel by selecting TPD under additional columns. You can use the triggers TPD-ON and TPD-OFF in cell Q2 to connect to the stream.

Please see TPD Zone FAQ for questions regarding accuracy etc.
Please bear in mind the data will not always be 100% accurate and you will need to build in tolerance for this in any systems you create.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
