There are now ten additional horse racing related columns you can choose to export to Excel. You can tick which columns you require when setting up the link to Excel. They will only be displayed if triggered betting is enabled and they will appear after the P&L column so if you have used these columns you will need to re-arrange your spreadsheets to take advantage of them. If you don't select any of these additional columns your current spreadsheets will not be affected. The columns are as follows.
SP
Saddle cloth
Form
Days since last ran
Jockey
Trainer
Age/weight
Jockey claim
Wearing
Stall draw

Fixed bug where only first tab page was sorted correctly by date and time when you have selected to automatically open the different venues in separate tab pages. The problem only occurred when events spanned midnight.

When you are viewing multiple markets it will now attempt to stagger the requests. eg. 15 markets with a 30 second refresh each will result in one request being made every 2 seconds. In theory depending on when you opened the markets previously all the requests could be made at the same time which puts more load on your bandwidth and the API. The request times are monitored every 5 minutes and altered if necessary.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
