CLEAR TRIGGER

Postby nhmaster » Thu Feb 14, 2008 9:01 am

Just a basic trigger enquiry, when I use the CLEAR trigger ie> BACK-T1-IP-CLEAR bets only seem to record a PENDING remark in the bet ref col and do not fire I am using excell sheet set with the clear bets ref on auto select market option ticked on the betting interface, and using the auto market pick list, any ideas?? The bets fire if I remove the CLEAR from the trigger above

That syntax is not correct, the program will not recognise a trigger with -CLEAR appended. What do you want the trigger to do, there may be an alternative.

hi Gary

I want once a bet has fired on a particular race that the trigger will fire a new bet once the existing one has been fulfilled, the bet I am placing is a one tick offset bet ie: backing at odds requested and then placing lay bet 1 tick less, then I want the bet refs to clear to allow and additional qualifying bets

Cheers

When do you want it determined fulfilled, after the back bet is matched or after the tick offset lay bet is matched?

Hiya Gary

Ideally after the lay bet has been filled if possible

The only way to achieve that at present is to use your P&l figures to determine if the lay bet is matched, not straightforward if you are not comfortable with vba and it can get a bit messy. I think your idea of how it should work is actually a good one (ie. add -CLEAR to the end of the trigger). I will see what I can do.

Hi Gary

Be great if you could, then would it be possible, to scalp on a auto basis.

Cheers Shaun

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
