So you would have to set the trigger, wait until it was taken (seen via BF interface) then clear the back trigger and place the lay trigger? Is that correct?

Once the trigger trade has been taken, if you don't clear it, will it continue to activate at that price until you do?

=IF(H5=2.4,"BACK",IF(H5>2.5,"",IF(H5=2.3,"LAY","")))

H5 is the back odds.

All this will do is trigger a BACK when back odds are 2.4 and a LAY when back odds are 2.3. I'm not sure it's what you want but I hope it helps.

You have to clear the Bet Ref and the Time cells before a bet will be triggered for the same selection.

Right I have put in some formulas on the excel sheet and they are triggering as required (on the sheet) how do you get excel to place the actual triggered bets onto BF?

just a thought

I have been using "back" and "lay" instead of "BACK" and "LAY" in the formulas. Will this stop the bet being triggered to BF?

Will try again tomorrow and see if it was that simple.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be??. Does anyone think the security system I have gets in the way or anything? I use mcafee by the way, and also the account balance is never shown accurately.

Any help greatly appreciated

cheers

I use the following to put bets on in a 30 second time period just before the off.
Where A1 is the race time and E2 is the last updated time:

IF(AND($E$2>$A$1-TIMEVALUE("00:00:30"),$E$2<$A$1-TIMEVALUE("00:00:01")),"If True Do Something","If False Do Something")

Hopefully this will help.

Apologies to those who I have not replied to yet. I am very busy in my day job at the moment One bit of news I have is that the program will be using the API before xmas! It will still be free. When I get round to calling it version 1.0 and an official release it will still be free. This way I can have the luxury of developing at my own pace and think I can be forgiven for not answering queries straight away.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
