Excellent program LayIt, I'm now experimenting with triggering bets from an Excel spreadsheet (without sucess!) - I have a formula which changes the value of the trigger cell to 'BACK' when the conditions are met, and my odds & stake are set in columns O & P, but it won't fire.

Anyone got it working?

Cheers,

That would be so extremely cool

What I meant to add is that the 'time from start' clock would, of course, need to be added to the produced excel spreadsheet. If that happenned, then the betfair trader app would be complete IMO.

The Gambling Monkey,

Can you explain basically what your formula (20th Sep) below actually does?

=IF(AND($E$2>$A$1-TIMEVALUE("00:00:30"),$E$2<$A$1-TIMEVALUE("00:00:01")),IF(AND(J6<2,(1-(J5/A5))>=0.25),"LAY",IF(J6<2,IF(LEFT(MID($C$1,FIND(":",$C$1)+4,5),FIND(" ",MID($C$1,FIND(":",$C$1)+4,5))-1)="5f",IF(COUNTA($C$5:$C$30)>14,"LAY","No Bet(Conflict)"),IF(COUNTA($C$5:$C$30)<=14,"BACK","No Bet")),"In Time")),"No")

Thanks,

MarkW

RD, you could do that with the current spreadsheet. When it goes in play store the current time in a cell. The time from start is then the difference between current time and your stored time.

What I would like to see added is the ability to start monitoring an event (and start updating the spreadsheet) x minutes before the scheduled start. At the moment the more events you add, the bigger the actual refresh rate gets.

A nice improvement would be to include 1/10th's of seconds (or even 1/2's) for when using the 'Log individual price' option. The app refreshes and logs to half a second but only records the time in full seconds i.e. 23, 23, 24, 24, 25, 25 instead of 23, 23.5, 24, 24.5, 25, 25.5 etc.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
