The only problem i've found with this automated betting is that you are relying on the moronic component of backers and layers on BF. There is still no guarantee that you will win when people are willing to back one at 1.05 three flights out
The concept is really good but you need to be in front of the PC to cancel out of races.
Without sounding too negative, relying on the in-play market to autobet is a road to the poorhouse.
Just warning everyone who thinks that automated betting is easy money ... it ain't.

RD. I didn't just introduce the new feature for In Play. It was just an example. You can set it to switch to a race 10 minutes before the off and employ some other strategy. It was really to save you having to open a separate tab for every market and putting an unecessary strain on Betfair's server.

Signing in to acknowledge your effort and pass on sincere thanks.

Got spooked this morning by the flurry of revision updates. Maybe saturday is not best day to implement them, but hey it's your program.

My only "milli" gripe is that if I have set up a number of unmatched bets and want to cancel one it is sometimes hard to catch the little basturd as it keeps scrolling out of the window in the flurry of other bets being taken. Hard to explain but if you've seen it you know what I am on about.

Thanks again

Layit,

You should be congratulated for making bots available to the masses. Your software is a brilliant piece of kit. A masterpiece !!

I am now exploring the Excel - Trigger feature that you have installed. The only problem i have found with the "trigger" feature in Excel is that there is no way of knowing whether your bets have been matched. It it possible for the download into Excel to include the following enchancements ?

1) net position/liability against each selection ?
2) a list of matched and unmatched bets.
3) a function that allows you to cancel unmatched bets in Excel.

Great software and looking forward to the API release.

Thanks

Pulp

Version 0.97c. When selecting a market in the market tree if you press q on the keyboard it will be added to the pick list.

New trigger in triggered betting: LAYFIELD. Put this against any selection and it will lay the field at the odds and stake against that selection. At the moment it just records the Bet ref as VARIOUS against the one selection.

LAYIT, I mentioned yesterday that show place market when clicked was bringing up a different race to the win one showing. This is still happening and I think it is to do with having quick markets selected as it works fine when quick markets not selected. I dont know whether you were aware of this or not but hope this helps.

Roc. You didn't mention before that it only just started happening. Now that you say it started happening after I added the quick pick feature it makes sense. I will take a look. Sorry about that.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
