Question on stop loss

Postby All In » Wed Dec 17, 2008 5:38 pm

Hi, i am new here and would first like to say thanks to Gary and Mark for all their hard word, betting assistant is the best value betfair API i have seen.

I would like to no is their a trigger value to put into excel that would fire in a tick off set bet and stop loss at the same time. I know you can use BACK-T3 to do the tick off set, but would like to put in a stop loss. And what about having it sliding

Also, i will have the the trigger value bet odds set to 1.01 so i can quarantee the back bet will be taken. Will the tick off set bet be off set by the matched value or the value i asked for (which i no can't happen)

Many thanks

The stop loss feature has been requested before in Excel, but I haven't implemented it yet. It will be implemented in a future release. The tick offset bet is always requested based on the odds you are matched at so it is ok to request lower odds to ensure you are matched.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
