Excel triggered betting odds are rounded to nearest odds so you don't have to worry about them being valid odds (eg. BACK 105 will be submitted as 110, LAY 1.015 will be submitted as LAY 1.01)

There is now an option when selecting triggered betting to clear the bet refs when changing markets using 'auto select markets'

The is now an option to clear average matched odds when using CLEAR trigger.

LAYIT, when I select the WIN market and show PLACE market option in Bet Trader and select triggered betting in Excel only the Place market is shown in Excel.

This error does not happen in UK racing.

I just came across a problem with the triggered betting using the auto select markets function.

If the races are close to each other it bounces between the markets. As my sheet clears the bet refs it kept resubmitting the bets each time it 'bounced' until one market went over the time. Luckily one loser one winner came out slightly on top so no harm but over 20 lay bets were submitted on each market when I only wanted one.

Doubt it'll be a problem with the UK markets but may catch some people with the US times being so close to each other. Did the same thing to me on the 20:35 Wimbledon dogs and 20:36 Brough Park dogs races.

Just be careful out there...

I've just started using the triggered betting thru excel and am well impressed. Thanks again for the prog and the quick fixes you're doing to any bugs. I'm sure alot of people appreciate what you're doing.

Dear LayIt, and others,

I have been "quietly" following the posts on this forum and I must say that
the software you have created is made of gold !!! I really appreciate your
efforts, and being myself involved in computer science, stats and probabilities
this effort is appreciated even more.

If I could add my 2 cents to the whole discussion with a features I would
wish a software like yours would have. If it has already been discussed
and I have missed it, I apologize

=> Stop at a winner feature: The only difficulty I see in this one is the
checking of the results on an external website. It would be nice to have
a default bet (2$, 4$ or whatever) and whether the previous bet or not
won, adjust the bet on the next trade.

Thanks a lot !

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
