Monitoring all in-play soccer matches

Postby milfor » Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:40 am

I can add all in-play matches to the first tab with Market/Coupon Markets
/Soccer In-Play (Match Odds). But when I link them to Excel only the
first ever appears there although BA claims that the others should appear in
A11, A21 and so on. First I thought the throttling would be the problem,
changed the throttling, reduced the number of matches and enhanced the
refresh rate to 5 seconds for all matches. So the throttling limit is not
reached anymore. But even after making a new link to a new Excel sheet
only the first market is transmitted. I should add that another separate
instance of BA is running perfectly at the same time.

Is there a limit for transmitted markets and where is this limit exactly?

No there isn't a limit. Another user reported something similar, but some markets were missing not all bar one. I added another option to the Excel menu in the latest Beta to try and track down this problem.

Can you install version 1.1.0.66x13 from http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... _Beta2.msi
Can you select a market that is not being logged by clicking on it's title bar. It will change to blue to indicate it is selected. Can you then select "Display Excel link activity" from the Excel menu and post the results.

Thanks. Certainly doesn't look right. I am going to need to add more information to this log to track it down further. I'll get back to you.

I think I have fixed it. Can you uninstall and install version 1.1.0.66x14 using the same link and tell me if the problem persists?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
