Gary
is there even a "manually" way to copy the profiles of BA and the "links" from log multiple sheets?

I want to install BA in a new laptop & trying to avoid the set up from the begging...

thanks

Profiles
Copying profiles is tricky, but possible.
1. Click Windows start button
2. Enter %localappdata%\Gruss_Software_Ltd and press enter
3. The settings folder should be displayed. It will have a long name that just looks like random letters and numbers.
4. Open the folder and you should see a folder named “1.0.2863.14523”. Open this folder and you should see a file named user.config
5. Take a copy of user.config.
6. Locate the folder on your new PC using steps 1-4 and replace with the copy of user.config from your old PC.

Excel quick link options
The file is named BA_Excel_Workbooks.txt and is located in your documents folder. Just copy it to the documents folder on your new PC. If it's a profile other than default then the file is named BA_Excel_Workbooks_[your_profile].txt

No, it's still the same. Is it that you could not find the settings folder or that you copied it and the settings were not used?

That shortcut doesn't work on all versions of Windows. It doesn't work on our server also.

It's not so easy to find the folder, but is still possible. You need to open Windows Explorer and locate the following folder.
c:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Gruss_Software_Ltd

I'm afraid I can't help any further. That's all I know. In a future release BA will be in control of where the files are located. In the current version it is at the mercy of where Windows decides to put them.

You didn't say they were the Excel quick link settings. I could have told you about them.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
