The Governer. Yes you will, but please wait until later. I will indicate on the website that it is version 0.87. After that you will never have to install it again. It will take care of updates itself.

By the way. I don't think it's Betfair's attempt to kill the program,
</i>

I have no evidence to suggest the contrary.

But I don't know how far you are going to develop the software.

Generally speaking, if it ends up competing with commercial software (perhaps it is already I dont know ) that pays BF via the API then BF will (attempt to) squash it, if they decide they are losing more from lost API revenues that they are gaining from increased turnover.

That is a given.

Version 0.87 is now available. After installing this version you will no longer have to look out for updates, the program will update itself. Just look out for the version number changing. The problem from this morning is fixed.

Been slowed down by changing the way the prices are refreshed, but it had to be done. Now I can concentrate on getting the trading mode up and running. I've got to take my time though as the potential for screw ups is huge. It may not even be what people are expecting, but I'm sure you'll tell me and I'll put it right. Hopefully by next Monday I will have something to offer.

Hi, I have installed the latest version but it only opens up Betfair in the bottom half, the top half does not open when I click on a market, it worked on earlier versions but not on 0.87.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
