whats the smallest hand held device will gruss work on

Postby citroen999 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 1:10 am

hi

looking at playing around with gruss at race courses..

dont think i can sneak my lap top in

what would be a good hand held device to run gruss? i have a HTC desire Android smart phone but i dont think this does it.

the device needs to be big enough so that finger error does not occur, which is easily done with certain hand held devices..

Sorry it's written for .Net framework which runs only on desktop and laptop PCs. There would have to be a separate program written especially for Android or iOS (Iphone). We don't have any immediate plans to develop such an app.

It will run on a netbook. Nothing smaller I'm afraid.

I agree - there are a number of alternatives for Android & Ithing to get a remote desktop back to a PC at home. I also run a VPN to make sure my connection is secure

hi

thanks for the replies .... :D

seems like a good idea, but would it be any quicker than my android phone and betfair mobile at placing bets...

trying to figure which would be quicker for laying inrunning live at a race course..

might be android phone, betfair mobile and a bet ready to be placed once i see a horse is beat..

i am currently doing this with gruss and tv but have had some scares lol..

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
