Strike on Monday because of the 60% Premium Charge?

Postby milfor » Sat Jul 16, 2011 11:04 am

The **** makes the same poll at the moment about his ***** ***. Betfair
has told him that a suspension would not be against their terms and
conditions. Would it be a good idea if Betting Assistant would not be working
at least on Monday?

I am not affected by this new PC at the moment but if I continue winning it
is only a matter of time. I am sure this is true for many winners here. I am
also worried that the 250K barrier will be lowered if Betfair gets away with it.

I am aware of the fact that BA is not free like ***** ***. But £6 is a joke
compared with the sums at risk for many BA users in the future.

Hi,

I will answer this straight away regardless of what the poll says. We have no intention of making our software unavailable to our customers. In my opinion, as a customer, if you have paid for something then it should be available for you to use. If you choose not to use the software then that is your prerogative.

Regards,
Mark

*** **** has nothing to lose. We have our business to lose. This would just upset a whole load of customers.

It would be commercial suicide if "Betting Assistant" was turned-off.

Gary & Mark would not be so stupid.

I agree with the others. I think it should be down to individuals to decide if they're going to bet with Betfair or not.

As far as I'm concerned, being a PC payer and also believing that Betfair are taking entirely the wrong road, I shall not be betting with them on Monday and I'm doing my utmost to transfer as much of my betting as I can to other sites including Betdaq (though there are liquidity problems with them) and Pinnacle (probably the most professional bookmakers in the world). All my tennis betting is done with Pinnacle and you'll find that their prices are right up there with BF. After taking the PC into account, their prices are much better.

Betfair take 22.5% of my profits in pc and commission. Even so I would be pretty irritated to find BA unavailable even for a fight that is very close to my heart. We have to find a better way to prevail in this issue. I would be very willing to help brain storm any ideas, especially any ways of increasing commission with out incurring losses.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
