1st TRIGGER

Postby BERTRAND » Sat Jul 30, 2011 7:21 am

I have been testing a lay trigger in a spare column.
I have set up an inplay elapsed timer which is linked to the trigger.
My odds column is populated with SP+8% odds.
Also the trigger will return FALSE if the odds in column "H"(LAY1) exceed a specified figure.
My question is what happens if the trigger initially fires but my bet goes unmatched and during this "unmatched period" the trigger goes FALSE and then TRUE again? This happens because of the column H reference. Will the initial request remain or will there be multiple requests?
I have just used a straight LAY trigger.

Multiple triggers cannot fire unless column T (bet ref) is blank. Once the initial lay bet is placed it will put the bet ref in column T. Whether the bet is matched or unmatched the bet ref will remain there unless you blank it using the CLEAR trigger or VBA code. If you are not doing anything to blank column T then you will not get multiple bets.

Thanks Gary
Understood.

My odds column populated with SP. Will I still get Betfairs best odds? I mean to say-- if my selection is SP15 and odds are 10 when the trigger fires I will get the 10.

Yes, Betfair's best execution still applies.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
