I've realised that the new refresh has a flaw which makes the program unresponsive if Betfair is slow at responding to refresh requests. For the technically minded the code that gets the page from the server is synchronous which is not a good idea. I will be amending it asap. Can nyone confirm that they now have version 0.87a? I just want to check if the auto update is working.

Also got ver.0.87a. Refresh rate seems fractions faster than Betfair set at 1sec.

Loaded it up this morning and it updated to .87a. Great stuff LayIt.

Can I make a few suggestions that might not be too hard to implement, but could enhance things a lot. I don't know what you have planned, but here's my little bit of input:

1. Pressure Of Money Indicators
If these replaced the price movement graphs, I think traders would find this infinitely more useful. The price movement graphs are a nice touch, but small movements aren't really noticed and I personally don't really pay attention to them. It's a lot better to know what a price might move to than to know what it was a few seconds ago.

2. Commission % Box
If we could set our commission rate in Preferences, the program could then use it to display the profits net of commission instead of displaying them before commission as it does now

3. Log On Button
If we could set our username and password in Preferences and have a log on button that auto fills the Betfair log in details, that would help lazy gits like me who find typing their username and password a bit tedious.

These are only suggestions, feel free to ignore them.

Keep up the good work, this is an excellent program

Hi Layit,

I'm still having the problems with not being able to see the top half of the program, I will try take screen shot and email you.

I also don't seem to be running 0.87a like other peeps, my copy is boring old 0.87 and does not auto update.

Any suggestions.....

TIA

The obvious suggestion is :-
Uninstall 0.87 and install 0.87a, which is the upgrade that will auto update

Still looks like a sensational program and i'm really looking forward to trading feature.

The dutching looks excellent but i still can't use it

Is there any chance at all - and i know this is a big ask - of including a box in the preferences tab to set the minimum dutching stake ????

I've looked into changing currencies (from aussie dollars) but it ain't easy - not sure if other os customers have different minimum stakes as well???

I'm fine if i set the target high enuf - unless i want to include something at a bigger price and that stuffs up the whole bet because it comes in below the minimum stake.

Is anyone else having this problem??? Maybe if there are a few of us it'd make the change more worthwhile.

Sorry for being a pain.

Great program - and keep up the great work

Trueform - Absolutely agree about pressure of money indicators. A simple bar graph like, dare i say it, bet-ie combined with the functional manual trading mode will make this the best prog available by far.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
