LIVESHOWS

Postby yursaduian » Fri Jun 29, 2012 2:16 pm

Afternoon Gary

Quite some time ago, you helped me with code to obtain live shows in decimal and also fractional odds and everything has been rosey up to now.

I've been away for a few days and have come back to find neither of them coming through and all I get is a "#VALUE!" return in my excel sheet.

Has something changed and can you help please?

Cheers

They probably changed their website. I'll take a look when I get a moment.

Thanks Gary

I'd appreciate your help.

Sporting Life have changed the format of their webpage and it has affected other things when I copy and paste into my spreadsheet. I can mess about with the simple things in excel but the code you set up is well beyond me and I'm helpless and so can't operate at the moment

Cheers

I've made a bit of progress, but I'm going to need to capture some data this afternoon when the live shows are up before I can do any more. I'll get back to you later.

Sorry, but I've had to rewrite the code completely. It also needs to be tested. Should definitely have something by Monday.

Evening Gary, any chance you could make the workbook accessible to all? As others have noted, the Sporting_Life_Live_Shows.xls readily available no longer works. Thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
