New to Gruss

Postby hungry1234 » Mon Sep 08, 2014 5:30 pm

Hi,
I am having issues understanding the Stop Loss facility?

I back for example at 2.5
I then set the in running lay at say 2.1
I then go to Stop Loss and set odds for this at 3.1 but I never get the Stop Loss set and matched because I can't seem to verify the Stop Loss so it never gets set?
In other words how do I set or verify the Stop Loss? There seems to be no button to get the stop loss odds in play whilst still in the pre race market?
I am aware there is a box for verify bets although I have clicked this to no avail I still don't recognise if my stop loss is set or not for in running?

Hi,

The Stop Loss options have to be set before you place the bet that you want the Stop Loss attached to unless you use the Right Click Stop Loss option on the Ladder interface.

Please see http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting_Assistant/userguide/stop_loss.htm

If you are not planning on attaching a Stop Loss to every bet that you place then I would recommend setting up a Custom Column with Stop Loss.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
