I am also curious if there is any way to safeguard putting in a stupid price? If for example I want to lay 1.26 and the next price is 10, should the 1.26 disspear as I click on it, is theer any way it can be stopped from then laying the 10 value? This is obviously not a problem in a liquid market but at times of low liquidity it could be slightly embarassing .

This question was asked on page 2 of the thread and is one of interest to me. Any further ideas on this?????

Great update LayIt, but how do you get your bets to appear at the bottom. I've got the header with date/time etc and I've got display bets ticked but still no joy. Thanks.

Looking good Layit - great work - it's coming along very nicely

U must be working on it nearly full time to get it to the stage it's at - it's greatly appreciated by the vast majority of us

Looking forward to it being fully up and running and being able to sling u a percentage of my winnings

Program looking good Layit - thanks for all the hard work.

I've been experimenting using Betfair Trader with an Orange GPRS card this morning - managed to get a five second refresh so that's great. One problem though is that I have a download accelerator on my laptop (onspeed) . When I try to logon to Betfair I get a message saying 'invalid username/password' - the only other site I have this problem with Korals. I can usually get around this by stopping onspeed. logging on, and then starting onspeed again. But if I do this Betfair Trader gives a message that it cannot reach the Betfair site when trying to login.

BTW onspeed compressed the data to 1/20 of its normal size which is better than I normally get using Betfair direct.

One other point, if I change the refresh to five/ten seconds and input a bet, does the program wait the five/tenb seconds before updating the bets manager/P&L even though the bet's been placed instantly ?

This is the best free program that I've ever seen, thanks for providing it.
Can't wait for the trading mode to be completed.

Thanks again.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
