Postby alrodopial » Wed Dec 13, 2023 5:10 pm

Why do I get the below message at ba for bd?
bd's username and pass are not correct/accepted
The amount matched in the grid is shown as zero although there are money matched
what are the different: .com / .co.uk / .com2 to chose from at the login phase?

Work is in progress on streaming API for Betdaq, but is not officially available to public yet. I suspect you used PRICE-STREAM-ON trigger in Excel to enable streaming. I should have blocked this. You can turn it off with PRICE-STREAM-OFF and avoid using PRICE-STREAM-ON in future. If it won't let you then you can delete the settings file as the default setting is off.

It depends on which address you registered your account with whether you use .com or co.uk. The majority of users will have a .com account. .com2 is a special case for b2b customers which normal users won't have.

No triggers used at all
Besides that, I don't see any option to change that in BD version
No "PS button" on grid neither any such option under preferences/general
Only the "full stream" option on grid which I don't think changes anything
I get the message every time I open the program and activate any market (first market for the session)

No conflicts with Betfair settings.

Somehow the setting must have been enabled. The only route I can see is an Excel trigger. The default setting is definitely off.

You can either delete the settings file or if you are comfortable editing it you can open it in Notepad and search for "streamPrices" and change it to False

You should find the following line:-
Code: Select all
  <streamPrices serializeAs="String">True</streamPrices>

Change it to:-
Code: Select all
  <streamPrices serializeAs="String">False</streamPrices>

I'll check the profile creation code. Might be an issue there.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
