But, there has been the possibility of someone losing a lot of money because I forgot to check one small detail. I feel stupid. Anyone with an axe to grind has all the ammo they need now and I handed it to them on a plate.

I am however also a programmer and perfectly aware that the problem with the decimal point would have some very definite implications. I am beginning to regret restating the issue however because a lot of people seem to be operating under a "you're either with us or against us" mode of thinking. Thank you for your concern.

LayIt, the current version number is 0.89 and you still call it a pre-release version. Seems to me that you've made it perfectly clear that it isn't finished yet and still in the testing phase. This indicates that the use of the software is at everybody's own risk and everyone who's using it is actually just serving as a beta-tester.

Layit the first time I used it I got caught out but did you hear me moan? Of course not it is all part and parcel of using a new application and I accepted those risks the moment I decided to open up the programme and use it.

Please ignore the detractors and continue with what is quite clearly a great piece of work.

Totally agree with the recent sentiments. This is Pre-release software and users should be aware that it's used at their own risk. It's also unfinished, so any moans about missing stuff or things not working properly are completely unfounded.

Keep up the good work Gary. I actually traded with it today quite successfully so there's no grumbles from me and I think you'll find there are many happy users.

To meanoldliar. Just what exactly was the purpose of the "HAHAHA" in your post because it looked like an unwarranted gloat to me, not the writings of someone keen to help. I have not seen Layit state anywhere that multiple currencies are supported.

As all the sensible folks realise we are using this at our own risk, full stop.

Layit, my only complaint is that you have not set up a link on your site so that we may make a contribution to show gratitude for your efforts and generosity. You are always going to get the ungrateful t o s s e r s on a public forum. Have pity on them, they really are sad and inadequate individuals.

Gerry, I think I dealt with that earlier. Why don't you get off my back now? I'm sick of people like you. Thanks in advance.

Ok. I will share future versions, but please only use it on the understanding that it is not meant to be a fully functioning bug free program. I can't test the program with different currencies as I only have access to a UK account. If anyone has got any ideas on how I can do this then please email me.

Good news, happy to hear it. For one, I'd like to say how well the program is coming together. Can't wait until the trading function is added. It sounds very useful.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
