Placing all my Daily bets in one go?

Postby MetallicIan » Wed Feb 09, 2011 12:22 pm

I have been using BA for a while now and use it primarily to place triggered bets from excel about a minute before the off using the auto select market facility when the relevant race auto loads.

I have now adopted a different strategy in that I now know what odds I am willing to accept and would like to save time manually typing them all in.
I place them all each day using the BFSP option in the morning and would ideally like to use BA to do all this work IN ONE GO from my excel selections list.

My Spreadsheet lists each horse and the odds I require to place the BFSP bet at.

Any ideas about the best way to go about this?

(There are also often back bets placed on the same horse but at two different odds).

TIA,

Ian.

Have a look at the sample placebets sheet shouldn't take too much amending to get it to place your bsp bets and loop thru the markets so they're all placed within a minute or so

Might be a bit fiddly to get it to place two separate bets on the same horses but you could always set a flag against any bets placed and let it loop til there's none left to place

So how do you get the spreadsheet to place BFSP bets only ?

Also, in the case of the Horse Name being slightly different - sometimes a database might call a horse Happy n Harry while betfair call it Happy N Harry or Happy 'n' Harry for example is there a way of verifying when first logging the bets that all the target horses exist and which ones don't line up ?

Sorry probably both easy questions to those of you used to using the product but I cant quite see the answers at the moment.

Thanks

Ok I managed to sort out the first issue and the second one doesnt seem to have a solution.

Next question. If a race is delayed how does it get rescheduled ?

Thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
