More complex code and In-Running??

Postby Sherbert » Fri Nov 09, 2007 2:33 am

Hi just wanting some help as i cannot sleep as this trading lark has got me excited last few days

I set it up today now i have watched the youtube videos and understand them perfectly so set it up to run thru card and lay fav if <3.5 and also 2nd horse was within 2 points of fav, now worked fine but not profitable lol, but thats not the point im learning.

I want to no if when i lay these horse if I can enter code where I can back it back in running. And just if I can set up a code where it does it in-running or not, is this possible??

I have all these ideas but for the life of me dont no how to code them, i just no the basics like the macros and "If" statements I have put in today. Really I want to try to lock profit in if I can.

Any ideas or if anyone would be so kind as to share what there parameters are :-)

Thanks very much in advance im an eager beaver for this stuff :-)

Hi Sherbert

I think to do this you will need to program some VBA. Check out the new video that I posted on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGeOlzTeeuw

You will need to do something like

If sheet1.cells(2,5) = "In Play" then

in here as what you want to do & include some sort of flag to make sure it doesn't place more than one bet.

End If

Hope that is of some help

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
