Gerry. Thanks, I should be able to find the problem from your description. You could probably have about 20 markets open with 10 seconds refresh. You just have to experiment with what works for you.

Cheers Gary. I won't need such a fast refresh, every 10 mins or so should be fine (soccer markets from opening to K.O.) I'll stress it and let you know how I get on.

Sorry, Layit, I should have put this on your own thread.

Could you make your program read in a text file and back or lay the horses in the file to specified prices?

For example, the file named horses.txt reads:

HorseA Back 12.0 3.00
HorseB Lay 5.0 4.00
HorseC Back 6.2 5.00

When a button is pressed on your program, it reads the file and does the necessary betting. This way, prices could be 'caught' more often than not. I find that when my system is ready to bet, the prices change too rapidly for me to type in all the prices and bet amounts.

Just a thought, but it would simplify my life!

Gary,

With the Excel feature. Is it possible to import your P&L against selection and your betting history on the event (matched and unmatched bets).Perhaps, the link into Excel gives you the option to download which columns ?

Thanks a million

would it be possible to adjust the clock so it starts at the actual 'start time' and not the intended start time?

thanks again

Layit, it s happening for two days now, i log in and when i go to the day's card, the horses fields are always empty and saying "No Market", whereas i can see activity on the book % and the horses names as i direct my pointer but i can t see any price, nothing! it s like the program goes corrupt, everything worked fine with the previous release and for a day that i opened this 0.93b everything was fine, i m puzzled.

You've done a superb job mate, and i'm amazed at both your dilligence and your patience with teh questions.

But i think it's time you took a rest,as we have this for free and it's pretty unfair for dozens of people asking you for improvements/extars etc.

Remember this software would cost a t least a couple of 100 so be grateful and stop aksing for silly little ad ons for god sake.

the guys done us all a huge favour here but he does deserve the odd day off me thinks.

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
