Once the program is running, log into Betfair in the window, then select a market. The top part will then fill with the horses and prices for that market. You then simply click a price you want to back or lay.

Fantastic programme.

The only suggestion I have is that it be made available for Mozilla. This is purely because if you set the refresh to low ie 1 sec in IE it kills the CPU but do the same in Mozilla and there are no problems.

I am also curious if there is any way to safeguard putting in a stupid price? If for example I want to lay 1.26 and the next price is 10, should the 1.26 disspear as I click on it, is theer any way it can be stopped from then laying the 10 value? This is obviously not a problem in a liquid market but at times of low liquidity it could be slightly embarassing

All in all a programme like this being made available free for us all just shows what a top bloke you are. Very much appreciated.

Sorry. Didn't answer your question. Mozilla is a completely different program, but they have supposedly used the same DOM (document object model) so in theory it could be as simple as plugging in their component instead of IE. I will definitely be looking at it. I will let you know.

Cheers Layit for letting me know.

Your programme is awesome and it is a shame that someone like you has to go to all the trouble of providing something that Betfair should have done in the first place. 1 Click trading is so much better than fann-ying about as we have to currently.

The dutch betting option is available. Please download, uninstall and re-install.

There are also default stakes in the preferences window. Tick the selections you want to dutch, input the profit you require on the right hand side and when the odds are right and there is enough money available to cover your stakes the 'Dutch bet' button will be green. If any of the stakes are less than £2 then the option will not be available.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
