I wasn't aware this was a problem so I need to try and replicate this problem before I can advise if a remedy is needed. I'll get back to you. Are you sure the problem was caused by the non runner, did you switch to another race and then back again to remove the non runner from the list and then see that the calculation was correct or are you assuming the non runner was the problem?

Hi Gary . cheers for getting back to me . was just assuming the nr was the cause ( think the nr came out hours before race time ) read a thread a while back along similar lines . i don't usually lay more than one selection per race but on this occasion i layed master medic and kornati kid for £75 each in the 12.50 wincanton today didnt like the way it was going so traded out on master medic for a small profit then tried the same on kornati kid when it was showing 20s (layed at 7.2 ) and it actually layed for an additional £2 instead of greening up . thanks

Hello werbie/Gary

It may have been a post from me that you read.

Yes it does tend to miscalculate if you lay more than one runner when a non runner has been removed but only if you access the market via a tab (where non runner is still on display, as a non runner) or you have not navigated away and then back to that market (if using quick pick) so as to completely remove the non runner from display.

What I always do when I want to level profit and a non runner has been declared but still on display (as non runner) is simply re-select the market from the quick pick, thus removing the non runner completely.

Gary if you do feel the need to look at this can you please leave the non runners on display in the tabbed markets, as they are now, otherwise we will have to go searching to find reduction factors of non runners. Thank you.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
