HELP : excel triggering, how to cancel an unmatched bet ?

Postby benny2008 » Fri Feb 01, 2008 4:44 pm

Hello, I'm a newbie about BA.
I've made some excel sheets correctly working but now I've an hard ( for me ) question. I would like to make a sheet working in this way : place 2 bet ( doesn't matter if BACK or LAY ) and when one of these is matched, cancel immediately the unmatched one ( then absolutely no other bet in this race until the quick pick go to next one, then two bet, when one bet is matched, cancel the remaining one and so on ..)
How can I do it ?
Thanks for helping.Great software.

Easiest way is just to switch the trigger calc to cancel when it sees an amount appear in the matched stake column. A simple if statement will be enough. No further bets would be placed and the refs would clear on the auto select for the next race to let it continue betting.

Remember cancel need to be in uppercase

=IF(SUM(X5:X60)>0,"CANCEL","your usual betting routine")

You can change the value >0 to the stake column if you only want to cancel when all of the stake has been mached

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
