CANCEL-ALL Cancel all unmatched bets for this selection ?

Postby Captain Sensible » Tue Feb 19, 2008 2:37 pm

Just wondering if Gary or Mark can confirm if the excel trigger CANCEL-ALL is cancelling all unmatched bets in that market rather than all umatched bets on the selection as the help file is possibly misleading.

Also if you can confirm you're using the API request cancelBetsByMarket rather than generating an array of unmatched bets and using cancelBets. Just need to know for some excel sheet I'm considering setting up

grrrr bring back the edit...

The reason for wanting to know is so I'd cancel all other bets on the market rather than just ones from excel/BA

CANCEL-ALL only cancels all bets for that particular selection.

cancelBetsByMarket is not used at all in BA. It was used last year, but Betfair introduced a bug and it affected BA. They have since fixed it, but it's not been changed back.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
